I kindly request that we pause a bit and reflect just for a moment, and candidly ask each one us an honest question about which way are we headed as a country? Are we on the right track or sidetracking there continue losing the track? We have heard a good share of our own troubles, we had intolerance in our schools, there was too much pressure due to the corona pandemic and students had no choice but to deliver on the promise, but instead, they went ahead to demonstrate and as a way of releasing their pressure they caused loses running into millions of shillings by burning schools and dormitories, i will not cast blame on them, that should be an issue for another day right!.
allow me to cast my net further afield to Japan, from their 2018 academic years moral education “dotoku” became a full-fledged subject in both their junior and elementary schools replacing the upgraded school activity that had been there for years. We must move with sporadic speed and face the dragon head-on, we have to reclaim our morals that have degraded from time immemorial, through education starting from the family setup, the school, and most importantly visible moral champions at all levels of leadership which unfortunately there are only a handful of them, but if we embraced these and got it right we will experience a moral regeneration and enjoy a happy and just society, Franklin Roosevelt said ” the test of our progress is not whether we add more to the abundance of those who have much ,but it is whether we provide enough to those who have too little”
Good to be back, expect an improved version of me.
